Who is this chick?

Who am I? Good question. I don't like answering this question. I never know what to say. You know that "get to know you" conversation that you have on a first date? I hate it. I always feel like I'm being judge or stuffed in a box so as to be better understood.

The thing is, just when I think I have figured out who I am, I change. It might be a small shift in personality or maybe I change my mind on an opinion. Sometimes, it's not a small shift but this complete 180 degree turn around. I'm not the same person today as I was yesterday and I bet I won't be the same tomorrow either. But this is an "about me" page so I will try to list a few things that haven't change too much in my life.

I possess a quality that some might call stubbornness. I, however, like to refer to it as determination. I have been told that I'm funny. I do pride myself on the ability to throw out a quick witty comeback. This ability stems from the need to laugh at everything. I don't like to be too serious. Another thing I pride myself on is being honest. I don't lie, because I'm not good at it. Also, I don't like being lied to. I'm a big girl, I can handle the truth. I don't like sugar coating things or having things sugar coated for me. From this paragraph alone, I sound very proud. I don't think I am.

Some things that I love are as follows: Cake. To say that I love cake, is like saying the Grand Canyon is a really big hole. I would much rather eat cake than open presents at a birthday. I was that kid who after the games were played, would be the first to ask, "can we cut the cake?" I also love birthdays. Maybe because it's pretty much a surety that there will be cake. Enough about cake. I love books. Actual books. I love the way they smell, the way the feel, the texture of the paper. I love the possibilities each book holds. I also love stories. In book form, in movie form, or just hearing someone tell it. I love independent films. They are story driven. Their not made for the mass. There isn't minimal stuff and fluff and a whole lot of heart.

This is getting kinda long. You can find out more about me by reading my blog or email me.
