They've Got The Moves Like Jagger!

I'm all settled into my new place. I love being closer to Central London. Before I moved I was worried that I wouldn't have a park to walk/run through. Turns out, I'm a couple of blocks away from Hyde Park which is HUGE. There is a Princess Diana Memorial Walk that spans 7 miles through 3 parks! This is my challenge: Walk/Jog all 7 miles starting at 7am and make it to my 10:30am class including breakfast and shower. Also, by the end of the semester I want to be able to complete 25 push-ups and 25 triceps dips without struggle.
And now, a picture show:
Jogging through Hyde Park after a little rain, this rainbow was complete but my camera couldn't capture it all. I like to do laps around that pond although, there are a ton of fowl hanging out there.
Shahida introduced me to a music website called 8tracks.com. I love it! People make music mixes that you can listen to, or you can make your own mix and share it with others. Totally free. Anyway, it was on that site that I first heard a band called Never Shout Never. At first I thought it was a teeny bopper singing, but then I googled them only to find a very adult lead singer with tattoos! I love a boy with tattoos. I drug Shahida and Alice to their concert Friday night. I loved it! There were ALOT of little girls, but I give them props for having good taste in music. I added two videos at the end (because I don't know how to add it in the middle) for your listening and viewing pleasure.
Waiting for the show to start.
I see you!
There was a GRIP of people there!
Banner waving proudly on stage.
I went into Central to take pictures of the Chinese New Year Celebration in Soho. On my walk I found these guys. Above are street dancers, they got the moves like Jagger.
This guy is a living human being.
So is he.
Him too.
This motley crue just got done playing Lazer Tag!

A Very Merry Unbirthday!

While I was in California, I went to Eric and Christa's for dinner and Madison had one of her little friends over as well. A couple of days later, Madi told me that her friend thought I was 17!
Just before I left for the UK, Diana and I went to BJ's for lunch and I told the waiter it was my birthday so we could split a free Pazookie. I celebrated my 17th...again.

Mamma Mia!

I have a memory. I'm little. Maybe four. I'm sitting in the front seat of a red station wagon and my mom is driving (we didn't have car seats in my day, nor did we need them). I'm wearing a dress, I don't know what color it is or the pattern, but I have on white Mary-Jane shoes with white ruffled socks. The shoes were bought at Payless and the little girl across the street had the same pair. My right leg is bobbing up and down keeping time to the music coming from the car stereo. The band? ABBA. The song? Dancing Queen. I cannot hear an ABBA song without scanning this memory. Tonight, I went to an ABBA-Sing-A-Long. S-U-P-E-R fun!
My incredibly talented mother made this scarf. It is so warm, and I love it!

It's just not an ABBA sing-a-long without a feather boa.

Guess Who's Back!

I'm back in London! It was SUPER hard to leave California. I had so much fun over the Holidays and it felt good to be with my family and friends. When it was time to get on the plane I kept thinking 'Why do I have to go back? What is the purpose of living in London?' I moved to a new flat in Kensington. I like it. I'm closer to Central London, I still have my own room and my bed is bigger. I'm on the fourth floor so I plan to have buns of steel by the end of this semester. I went to my first two classes today. So far, so good. There is more fun planned for the week so stay tuned!

My new bed, notice the closet shaped room I'm residing in.
This is my desk.
My modest sink.
A chair in my room that just takes up space.
I hung some pictures. I took these for my final photo project. They spell words, can you read them?
The top one says 'Susan' and this one says 'Love'
Took these myself.
Two different house that I snapped.
My 'love' photos.
I hung my calendar and had carved love tree that I bought in Poland.
Hi!
Alice, Shahida and I met up after classes to catch up.

The err...Greatest Snow On Earth!

I headed up to Utah to snowboard the 'Greatest Snow on Earth', epic fail on Mother Nature's part. The snow sucked. I guess I shouldn't blame Mother Nature. It was mostly man-made snow because Utah has been without a really good snow storm this winter. The snow sucked, my board need to be waxed and on my second run down the mountain, I fell, HARD, on my tail bone. I had a great time (even though I was in pain) but I got frustrated easily and would have liked to not suck at getting off the lift and down the mountain.
My cousin, Matt joined me on the slopes.

My sister-in-law Abby was in on the fun as well.

Nothing like a sushi dinner after a day on snow fun!
My brother, Jason wasn't on the mountain, but sushi IS a Friday food, so he joined us at dinner.

What's Up?

I've been enjoying my time back in California. Here are some highlights:
Celebrating Tammy's birthday! She and I have been friends since we were 5! I love this chick!

This cute creature is Tilly. I took care of her while her family were in Fiji.
I bought a new curling iron. It makes "beach waves" in my hair.

Tilly-Bean!
I took the girls to Ferrel's for New Years Eve.

My dad took the grown-ups to Medieval Times!
