Universal Studios

On one of my last nights in London, Shahida and I went to see Thriller Live! It was awesome! I don't know why I haven't heard more about this show. It was so fun and I loved every song they preformed! Good times for the whole family.
The Monday after I got back into the States, I went to Universal Studios with Eric and Christa and the kids. It rained a little but we had a good time.

Me and the kids out front.

Winter Wonderland

One of my favorite places in Central London is Trafalgar Square. There are always a ton of people roaming about the square. Saturday, I went to The National Portrait Gallery which is at the head of the square and when I got there, everyone was dressed up like Santa, just being jolly and making merry the way Santa does. A group of Santa's had signs that read 'free hugs'. I'm not sure why there was a large abundance of Jolly Ol' Saint Nick, but it was good times had by all.

These were the huggers.
Rudolph made an appearance.

Alyssa and I went to Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland.

Me and a penguin, I didn't catch his name.

Remember this hug when you visit my house.

I sat on Santa's lap, and told him what I want.

"...and a bean a cheese burrito from Miguel's..."

I love London at Christmas time. I went to 3 German Christmas festivals this year and can't wait to go to Germany, it's on my list of places to travel. I feel like I'm running out of time and I need to see more before I go back home. I'll be back though in January for my second semester. I will also have a new place to live! It is still Uni housing, but it's in Kennsington which is more Central London than I am now. I can't wait!

Les Miserables

Last week I went for a jog through Richmond Park and stumbled upon the Santa 5K Run. I wish I had known about it, I would have totally busted out a Santa suite and huffed through the park with the rest of them.

For my birthday, Alyssa bought my ticket to see Les Miserables. It was incredible! I love watching plays/musicals. At the end, when everyone is applauding and giving standing ovations and the actors all take a bow, I feel like we all took part in the magic. Lame, I know.

We couldn't take pictures inside the theatre, so I took this inside the bathroom.

Seat #13 - I salute you Taylor Swift

I took this one before the show started

This is the last week of classes and next week is finals. I of course have the worlds worst cold. But I have been soldiering through this week and will be turning in my last assignment today.

I spy with my London Eye

In continuance of my birthday Jubilee, we went on the London Eye. It was Awesomeness dipped in cool sauce. I am usually scared of heights, and I freaked out a couple of times, but I didn't give into my fears. I can't wait to go on it during the day.

There she is in all her round beauty.

On the Eye, you can see Big Ben between Alice and I.
Opening presents.
Alice got me earrings and the tiara.
Shahida bought this wall hang for me. She knows me so well.
Faith and Coco with the birthday girl.
Whew, getting pretty high.
Here is the gang from left to right: Alice, Shahida, Faith, Cody and Coco.
Now I'm in the picture.
Faith and I.
After the Eye, we went to the Slug and Lettuce where we had some birthday cake.
Coco bought me a Mocktail.

Some fun facts about the London Eye:

  • It took seven years and the skills of hundreds of people from five counties to make the London Eye a reality

  • You can see around 40KM (25 miles) from the top as far as Windsor Castle on a clear day

  • Each rotation takes about 30 minutes, meaning a capsule travels at a stately 26cm per second-twice as fast as a tortoise sprinting!
