Last weekend, England had TWO days off for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. (Man, she's really milking this.) Beck and I tried hard to see the parade from St. Paul's Cathedral to Buckingham Palace. So did the rest of London. So, we didn't get to see any of the parade but we did see a lot of dedicated Brits!
Many establishments in and around London decorated for the big events. Harrods was not the exception as you can see here. The Union Jack has been in full effect this past month.
The banner says 'Congratulations Your Majesty'. That's the top of Beck's head.
Lots of police out. He didn't want his picture taken.
On our long journey's walk to find a place to see the parade we stopped around here to look at thousands of peeps and decorations.
Taking a break. This was just before it started raining. In fact, we got caught in a downpour on the way through Hyde Park. Don't worry. We made it out alive.
I would never do this to my child.
Her mom is trying to convince her to turn around and smile for the lady sitting next to me so she could take a picture. Paparazzi is not her thing. She was totally freaked out.
Found this guy by Buckingham Palace.
