The island of Delos

We visited the island of Delos, which is one of the most important mythological, historical and archaeological sites in Greece.
On the boat to the island.

 Biggest ant I ever saw!!!

 I spy a white snail.

 The Terrace of the Lions.

 Establishment of the Poseidoiasts.

There use to be a lake here. That palm tree makes me happy.
 Sacred Way.
Hanging out at the Temple of Isis.

These steps lead to the highest point on the island. It takes about 15 minutes to hike up from the bottom.
 Almost there.

Just a few more steps to go, but look at how far we came!
Made it! At the top we had a picnic lunch and enjoyed the view.

Just sitting on the edge of the world.
 Mosaics.
We had to RUN to get back to the boat before it left. We barely made it!
I hiked it all in my trusty flip-flops.

Just hanging out with a pelican.

 Best OJ ever!

This guy's name is Jonathan. He was the owner of the hotel that we stayed in. Such a nice guy, he gave us great advice and told us where to eat and what sites to see. When we left he said he was going to miss us. He had some great stories. On the first day, after we checked in, he took us to a local spot to eat and had lunch with us.

More Mykonos

Here are some more pictures from my Greece adventure. I think one of my favorite moments on this trip was when we were waiting for the bus and someones dog peed on Beck's foot! Hilarious.

We found this really cute restaurant overlooking the ocean. Beautiful. And they had the BEST fresh squeezed orange juice I have ever drank. YUM!
 Fish!

I love sparkles on water from the sun.

This guy is fishing. Rough life, right?

We hung out on this beach twice. I swam in the Mediterranean Ocean. It was a little cold at first but once you got used to it, it was nice.

I saw this guy on the side of a taxi and decided that he must be Nemo's emo cousin.

Mykonos, Greece Day 1

I've wanted to go to Greece ever since I saw 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants'. For fall break Beck, Daniela and I went to Mykonos, Greece. A very small island off the mainland. It was every bit as beautiful as I though Greece would be. The food was delicious and the hotel manager was very helpful in making sure we hit all the right spots in the city. It rained a little bit while we were there but the sun came out a lot too, so I can't complain. Being there was like scratching an itch. I loved every minute on that island, I would love to go back some day.

Dark clouds moving in from the right.
 Blue skies above.
 Then, a downpour.
 Blue and white neighborhoods everywhere.

 Sometimes, they mop the stones.
 Rebel with a red door.
